ABC was notably powerful just a short while back and now has extra utility from the link monsters AND sets up ABC dragon buster all at the same time! they actually plus really well from links. pure ghostricks barely had a win condition before and now don't stand a ghost of a chance. my only disappointment so far is that links are actually killing off several non-threatening fun decks and leaving many powerful decks still viable. I'd hardly say it was to save yugioh though since its pretty obvious people were only buying zoodiacs and konami wanted new cards to sell. so you can bet people won't play those anymore until they do receive new links. The new decks have busted effects and so far they actually seem faster than most other decks, its just more of a pain to build them, only slowdown is to older decks who dont have their own link monsters yet. also, to be forced into making him before being able to make anything else is not that painful tbh lol.
decode talker alone is basically splashable protection that isnt too hard for most meta relevant deck to summon, but the new decks can spam him out so easy. i've been playing around with the new decks quite a bit and its actually way faster than people think since cards dont even need to be the same level or be a tuner or anything.
you're better off snagging YGO pro and just toying around, or going onto dueling book or something. I'd encourage you tocome back to the TCG, but yeah, as far as this game is concerned. so I think your issue in regards to Pendulums, would be fixed now. and it's been rough.īut Link Summoning is actually limiting Pendulum summons, and slowing down the extra deck in general. I don't blame you man, I bounced on this game when XYZ summons came out But I came back to the game in Janurary, right in the middle of the Zoodiac tier 0 meta. just "Meet Link Requirement printed on card." I mean, really, Link Summoning is just a new type of synchro summon without a specific card type required for the monster.
Hey man, you do you, Link Summoning is actually SAVING this game at the high level because Zoo was dominating soo hard for the past year, and Links are saving it.Ĭombine that with the prevelance of the extra deck as a toolbox, Konami felt they had to limit it.
That makes it easy to decide whether or not to remove it from my wishlist.
The only way I was ever going to be interested in playing Yugioh anymore was on this game, and I thought that if Konami was not going to update this game with Link Summoning that they would at least update the game with the last cards to come out before Link Monsters were released.īut I guess not. I could not care less at this point about the TCG anymore. I stopped paying close attention to the state of the card game when Pendulum Summoning came out, and I swore off it altogether when I heard about Link Summoning.
I have no idea when this game came out in relation to any booster packs. The last booster that LotD takes into account, is Shining Victories I do believe. I mean come on man, if you kept your ear to the ground about ANY of yugioh's meta, you'd know that the game is woefully out of date.
